Acceptance & Serenity

Today, Spirit invites us into a conversation around acceptance of that which we cannot control.

This may appear in all kinds of ways in our lives, large and small.

Acceptance becomes easier when we surrender the need to understand why things happen and why people behave the way that they do. When we cannot understand, we often internalize circumstances and behavior trying to find what we could have done differently or how we need to change in order to be enough for someone else. We try many things and often turn ourselves into pretzels to no avail. This is because it is not really about us in the first place, but, rather, is about the filters through which another chooses to view and react to the world.

In turn, it is also important to take a genuine look at how we attempt to mold people, places, things and circumstances to how we believe they “should” be so that we avoid discomfort. If we are truly being honest, we will notice this is various ways in our lives as we all engage in this to some degree. Assessing our filters allows us to see what serves us and what keeps us stuck in old patterns, thus giving us the opportunity to choose how we wish to be and how we wish to respond in our lives.

What if everything that we are experiencing is perfect from our soul’s perspective?

What if everything we are experiencing allows us to expand and is part of what we are creating (knowingly or unknowingly)?

What if each experience gives us an opportunity not only to grow, but also honor ourselves and learn what we need?

Are you willing to create space to accept things the way they are, even if it does not make sense? Will you lean into the mystery and assess what the events and experiences have to teach you? Will you remain curious and open to answers to come now or in the future as is most appropriate?

Will you allow yourself to trust that no matter what is happening it is part of you evolving into a better version of your self?

Will you allow yourself to act as if you truly believe that life will get better?

Engaging in life from a place of acceptance and surrender, not only allows us to find peace, it also allows us to make lemonade out of lemons.

Furthermore, it brings self-knowledge, self-discovery, freedom, and a new relationship with manifestation and creation.

Whether in a large or small matter, may you find acceptance and peace today that allows you to experience beauty and freedom.
