Alignment of Heart and Mind

Today, we are greeted by the loving energies of the Buddha, who is willing to help all of us move beyond fear and suffering into our natural joy-filled state of being.

The Buddha encourages us to bring awareness to our thoughts and feelings. He urges us to look at them with compassion and to refrain from pushing them away. When we recognize that fear is part of being human, we are able to embrace a different level of acceptance. We can also then begin to see how fear has been weaponized to facilitate control and manipulation. Not only has it been done to us, we also do it to ourselves and others.

When we shine light upon our fears, they lose their power over us. We so often learn from our experiences that the anticipation is worse than anything that actually transpires, yet we continue to engage in a cycle of fear based thoughts in subsequent experiences. Creating space for our fears allows us to look through different lenses and to confront that which is really inspiring fear within us. This frequently involves inner child(ren) work, as well as looking into our wounding. Working in these areas and others, allows us to understand our past and reframe our present. We begin to respond rather than react and to participate in life from a more grounded place. As we release our fears, we also are able to be more present in the moment of now.

This presence allows us to begin to see through illusion and self-delusion. We begin to see that we chose experiences and we see the benefits in the challenges we have encountered. As we practice this, we begin to provide ourselves with more compassion and more love. We are then able to connect more deeply with ourselves and with Spirit as we allow for the natural alignment of our hearts and our minds.

We begin to feel the connectedness of all things and are able to transmute our fear into love and compassion that we share with the world. This alignment allows us to maintain higher states of consciousness and higher vibrations. And, as we begin to find more peace in our life, we become a beacon of that energy and find it reflected back to us from the world.

Take the time to meditate with the Buddha today. Call forth his presence and feel his loving energy surround you. Allow this energy to fill your heart space and relax into the sensation of peace and joy he radiates. Ask the Buddha for help accepting your thoughts and fears and making peace with them.

What do you need to see or know to shift your perspective on your thoughts and fears?

What do you need to release the conflict of thoughts in your mind?

What will allow your heart and mind to come into greater alignment?

What does the Buddha reveal to you?
