Creation From Self-Love
Today, we are greeted by the supportive energies of Nature Spirits. Their message is:
“Know thyself. Support your true nature with loving conditions and reject anything that doesn’t.”
This is a call to align with our true nature so that we may create a life that reflects who we truly are, rather than who we are out of programming or who we have become to please others and/or survive. In order to align with our true nature, we must engage in a quest for self-discovery.
The fundamental element of this quest is self-love. It is out of self-love that we set forth on this quest of self-discovery; and, through self-discovery, we come to know and love ourselves.
This quest is multi-layered and multi-dimensional. It continues throughout our lives for we are ever evolving and growing. Sometimes it is daunting to begin this quest for we believe we do not know how to do it, we seek permission from others to do it, or believe that someone or thing external to us must give it to us.
Simply being in the question of “what do I like” is enough to start. Dedication to honesty and curiosity without judgment will then propel us down the path of self-discovery.
Allow yourself to find what inspires and stimulates you. Ask yourself, what makes you feel alive?
Allow yourself to choose what brings you joy irrespective of other’s judgments and opinions. Allow yourself to stretch out of your comfort zone and try things that are unfamiliar. Give yourself permission to say, “why not,” when opportunities appear. Allow yourself to stretch your imagination about what is possible for you. Allow yourself to be spontaneous and unpredictable. Allow things to not make sense and to be unknown. Give yourself permission to not be obligated to others and to reject any guilt that others attempt to impose upon you.
Reflect upon the conditions of your life and how those conditions are impacting you. Are there changes that you would like to make? Are there any small steps that you can take towards those changes? For example, do you need more stimulation or are you overwhelmed and need more quiet and solitude? Do you desire to break out of monotony and want to try something new? Do you wish to study something new? Do you want to create something with your hands whether it is a form of artistry or working in the garden or something else?
As you experiment and find what you enjoy, your self-knowledge increases, your confidence increases, your self-care increases - all of these and more come from loving self. With these discoveries, you then become able to build and manifest a life around who you truly are. You become willing to create appropriate boundaries that support and nurture you. You become more authentic in all your relationships.
With this authenticity, you become capable of participating in the world in a whole new way and you become capable of being the love that you are.
Learning to love self also helps us to come into alignment and to become familiar with more of our natural states of being, including being happy and joyful. This quote from Abraham, through Esther Hicks, beautifully encapsulates this and encourages us to step into this frequency:
“I’m going to be happy. I’m going to skip. I’m going to be glad. I’m going to smile a lot. I’m going to be easy. I’m going to count my blessings. I’m going to look for reasons to feel good. I’m going to dig up positive things from the past. I’m going to look for positive things where I stand. I’m going to look for positive things in the future. It is my natural state to be a happy person. It’s natural for me to love and to laugh. This is what is most natural for me. I am a happy person!” (Sacramento, CA March 15, 2003.)
How can you engage with self-love today and begin (or deepen) your journey of self-discovery?
