Discernment & Boundaries
Armadillo Spirit invites us into a conversation around discernment and boundaries.
In order to set healthy boundaries, we must first learn about ourselves, our motivations, and our behavior patterns.
Do you know what your limits are? Are you aware of your needs and desires, and their origins? Are you trying to fill a void within you? Are you willing to be right-sized in terms of your responsibilities for self and others? What is your relationship with control? Are you willing to understand your programming and what is and is not yours?
Take some time today to reflect upon these questions and any others they spark. Try to answer these questions as honestly as possible, and, importantly, without judging yourself.
When we engage in this analysis from a place of non-judgment, we open up to greater self-intimacy that allows us to be more present and to participate in life in a more profound way.
We also learn different behavior patterns, including to retreat when prudent, rather than forcing situations with our will. We will more easily see through deceit, obfuscation or evasiveness. We will learn to say no and to trust our instincts. We will learn when we are motivated out of our own self interest, rather than being of service to others. We also come into a deeper level of communication and trust with our bodies.
