Embrace Life’s Flawsomeness

Today’s message comes to us from the Postcards from Spirit deck. It says:

“Dearest You,

We know everything in the universe is perfect even in its flaws, and we view the creations of Spirit in total awe. All is unique yet part of a unity of existence. But the human experience is a little different from ours. You tend to have a specific standard for what you consider ideal, and this isn’t serving you right now. So forget your idea of perfection and see through our eyes, allowing things to be as they are, without judgment. Don’t wait until a perfect moment or mood to start something, instead, enter life with all its ‘flawsomeness.’ You are exactly where you’re supposed to be. Let others be who they are too: imperfect and human, complex or simple. It doesn’t matter, for there is always something to discover, experience, and love. When you drop the need for an ideal, you uncover the real treasure, which will be far more interesting and valuable.

Loving you like crazy!

Indeed, we are reminded that just because life doesn’t meet our idea of perfection it is rich, full, and vibrant. We are invited to look at where our ideas of perfection come from and what we truly believe. We are also encouraged to accept life as it is - a beautiful tapestry - so that we may expand. This is another way of asking us to become the adventurer and explorer of life here on earth.

In these bodies, we are capable of having a range of experiences that we are unable to have otherwise. This is one of the reasons life as a human is coveted. Yes, this includes all of it - the parts that are painful, confusing, and challenging, as well as the parts that are joy-filled, loving, and blissful. The senses of the human avatar are unlike any other. As we continue to ascend and embrace more of our light bodies in physicality, this will amplify further.

Take the time today to feel through your senses. Spend time with each sense.

What do you see or notice around you that you usually do not? Take the time to take in your surroundings in minute detail. Then, spend some time outside embracing the sunlight - perhaps how it glistens through the leaves or on water or how it streams down through the clouds. If it is snowing or raining, look deeply at the precipitation and see what you notice that you may have overlooked before. What do you notice about the trees or plants? What animals do you notice?

Allow yourself to get quiet and breathe into your heart space. What do you hear around you? Focus on the large sounds and then the smaller sounds, each progressively until you are listening beyond the smallest sound you can hear. You aren’t imagining it. The silence is actually very loud - just in a different way.

Allow yourself to feel fabrics, temperatures, water - anything tactile. What do you notice? Do you find you are engaging your sacral chakra and greater sensuality? What textures do you like and why? What textures do you dislike and why?

Allow yourself to taste - the air, the water, the food - what do you notice as you do? Do you notice different parts of your body responding? Allow yourself to sit with it and notice the nuances of flavor. What do these remind you of? What comes to your mind? What comes to your heart? Are you noticing you have different preferences than you did recently?

Allow yourself to notice the smells of things as you go throughout your day. How do you respond? Are there smells you are drawn to? Are there smells you are repulsed by? Are there smells that remind you of the past? Are there smells that seem familiar, but are yet unknown?

As you practice all of these senses, what is revealed to you about how you go through the world? Do you notice your intuition being activated? Do you notice a sense of knowingness? This is your sixth sense coming more online.

Additionally, as you connect in with all of your senses, what do you notice about how you stand in the world? What do you notice about the story of your life that you tell?

What do you notice about perfectionism, judgment, and neutrality within yourself? How do you apply these to others? Are you willing to be a little lighter and looser with yourself? With others?

Can you accept that we are all perfectly flawed? Will you allow yourself to be valuable and lovable because of your flaws, rather than inspite of them? Will you all yourself to shift your perspective?

Will you allow yourself to release all the thought and behavior patterns that are no longer serving you?

We look forward to hearing of your experiences in the comment section below.
