Freedom

Today, we are invited into a conversation around freedom. Freedom comes up so often when discussing awakening and enlightenment and moving into higher states of being.

But, what does freedom mean?

Freedom means living in a state of being that allows your heart to be open and wherein you are at choice. It is a state of being where limitations and obligations have been dropped. It is a state of being where the mind is at rest and the body is in a state of wholeness. It is state of being where you are able to be your authentic self in each and every moment.

Often when discussed, the concept of freedom, though desireable, may seem overwhelming or impossible. We don’t know who or how we would be in such a state. We don’t know how that could ever come to pass in our lives due to the layers of obligations and learned thoughts and behaviors we have.

This is the ego coming forth from the fear of change and of survival.

However, embodying freedom it is a step-by-step process. It is intended to be incorporated into our lives to the extent we are ready and willing. It is up to us to initiate change and welcome more freedom into our lives.

Small changes are signals to the Universe that we are ready for more freedom. When we are ready and willing to try new things, we open the doors of our experience and then are at choice whether we continue to do the familiar or follow a new path. This gives our egos time to acclimate and adjust.

When we are willing to let go, trust, and allow without limitation, we step forth into more internal and external freedom. We are then met in that by Spirit with greater sychronicity. Spirit will support us in all aspects of our expansion - great or small - with excitement and fun. Yet, it is up to us to choose to make a change and invite more into our lives.

If freedom is overwhelming, we are encouraged to create some structure within it. Structure creates security for us and thus both are friends of freedom. Structure also assists us in remaining grounded as we bring more freedom into our lives. This helps us to live in more balance and maintain our alignment.

Take the time to meditate with this card today. Ask yourself: What does freedom mean to you? How do you truly feel about freedom? Are you scared by the idea? Do you contract when you think of having no limitations in your life? Do you believe you are worthy? Do you believe that everything will fall apart? Do you trust that you will be met by Spirit and supported? Are you willing to take the first step towards greater freedom?

What do you need to welcome more freedom into your experience today?
