In the World, Not of It
Today’s message comes to us from the Postcards from Spirit deck. It says:
“Dearest You,
The common sayings ‘be in the world but not of it’ and ‘wear the world loosely’ refer to the need to be engaged with life while not being attached to specific outcomes. Do not take this world too personally, for you are one of the many co-creators here to play - and we have many ideas about how all this should play out. Just know the outcomes don’t matter as much as the presence you bring to each experience and how you let yourself flow through life. There’s a real freedom in knowing and accepting this. So will you wear the world loosely or will it straitjacket you? It is your choice. Whatever happens, have the courage to keep trying to live as you are meant to. And when it comes to manifesting, don’t worry about the ‘how,’ or even the ‘why.’ We have that covered. Everything is going to turn out exactly as it should. Spirit has a plan!
Loving you always and forever . . . “
This message has been repeated by The Council on numerous occasions and is particularly poignant at this time when there is so much unknown and tumult in our lives and the world. Take the time today to quiet the mind and look at where in your life you are attached to outcome - the way things “should be.”
Take the time to ask why you have this attachment and do not settle for the first answer; rather, continue to ask questions to get beneath the first explanation the brain offers. When we breakthrough the rational and intellectual explanation of our attachments, we discover the core of our belief systems and patternings. This is a powerful opportunity to dig in deeper to our self-discovery and to gift ourself the ability to choose what truly serves us.
It is also an opportunity to delve further into surrender. Do you see where you are seeking to control outcomes in your life? Why? What is it that you are trying to achieve?
What does it mean to you to wear the world loosely? Do you feel that this is possible?
Do you feel safe enough to trust that everything is going to turn out for the best? Do you trust Spirit to guide the way? Are you willing to let go of the how, when, where, and why?
