The Unknown

Moth Spirit invites us to assess our motivations and consider where we are out of alignment in our life pursuits.

Are we motivated by the need to control? Are we acting from a place of anxiety and fear? Are we acting out of unhealthy coping mechanisms? Are we channeling frenetic energy into perfectionism, workaholism, or other form of addictive coping behavior? Are we simply finding ways to escape and not be present?

One of the greatest challenges for a human is to be in the unknown - to welcome uncertainty and to allow it to unfold so that it may reveal possibility. Indeed, messaging from our families and the collective has taught us that the unknown is dangerous and unsafe.

What if part of you always knows, Dear One? What if this journey of life is about you realizing that part of you already knows the answer(s) you seek? How would that change your life experience today?

Observe yourself as you walk through the world. Allow yourself to see the limiting behaviors that you impose upon yourself - even if you do not know how to be another way at this time. Remember that you don’t always have to “just be brave and get through it.” Shine light on these places of shadow and accept them, no matter how uncomfortable.

As you do this, try to create the space for the unknown with the understanding that you designed it to be this way so that you could have these exact experiences before you.

This is an intense assessment that invites you to come out of survival (flight, fright, and freeze) into an active co-creative process from a place of surrender and self-intimacy.

It is one of the keys to living and creating from a place of conscious awareness.

What does being in the unknown reveal to you today?
