Thoughts, Focus & Manifestation
We are reminded today about the power of our thoughts.
Everything is energy - including our thoughts. We often hear the statement that thoughts are things. Indeed, they are. However, thoughts may perhaps be better referred to as forms of energy - thought forms that become things.
In general, humans fail to realize that once they think something, it starts to have an energy of its own. If we think it repeatedly, that thought begins to create our experience as we attract things that are a match to that thought form - this is frequently discussed in the context of the Law of Attraction.
Fortunately, we do not yet have instant manifestation on this planet. This delay is intentional. It is designed to help us to remember and to learn how to work with our thoughts and creative power - thoughts are, in fact, the creative engine of the Universe and instant manifestation is the norm when we are not incarnated in these human avatars. This delay, however, also permits us to live in denial of the power of our thoughts and the fact that we create our reality.
As the consciousness of the planet rises, we too have the opportunity to live with greater and greater awareness. Increased awareness has a direct effect on our ability to manifest lives of inspiration and joy - the lives we want to have.
To this end, we are reminded to direct our attention in a way that is aligned with what we desire. We are also reminded to believe and to act as if we already have that which we desire. We are further reminded to focus on all that is good in our lives and to be grateful.
This can be challenging for a variety of reasons, including that the ego/inner critic may attempt to create doubt or other fear based emotions when we do not manifest what we want, when we want it, or in exactly the way we want it. The ego wants immediate gratification. Instead of searching deeper, the ego/inner critic will use such “failure” to help maintain the familiarity/status quo in our lives, and deprive us of our own innate power.
We are urged to remember that our thoughts and our focus are among the many tools in our spiritual tool box. The more attention we pay to our thoughts, the more awareness we have of what we are creating, what we are likely to create, the limitations we are imposing upon our creations, and what we truly believe deep down about ourselves - e.g. am I enough, do I deserve, etc. - and others. This attention also quiets the ego/inner critic as revelations are brought forth from our subconscious.
When we are consistently aware of our thoughts, we start to realize what energy we are putting forth into the world as a result of what we are really thinking, rather than what we think we are thinking. We then can begin to learn to focus our thoughts and to practice actively shifting our thoughts out of habitual thought patterns and things we do not want. Although this requires patience and diligence, we will soon thereafter find that we experience more positive opportunities and more positive people in our lives. We begin to create intentionally, rather than “by accident.”
To expedite this, rather than having a diffuse focus, we are encouraged to gather our energy and focus on one thing we desire to create at a time. As we master one thing at a time, we will then be able to work with our thoughts across a variety of subjects.
Then, we will be playing with fire and magic!
Thus, if you want to change your life, shift the way in which you think. By shifting the way you think, you will create an entirely different reality. It is that simple, though it is not always easy.
This becomes even more important as everything is accelerating in this period of consciousness expansion - we are already manifesting more quickly than ever before and this will continue.
Take the time to observe your thoughts throughout the day today and this week.
What do you notice? Can you see how your thoughts (and those that you have been having for a period of time) are directly related to your current experiences? Can you shift your thoughts - even if it is only something slightly improved? Do you feel better when doing so? What happens when you add all of your focus/intention to something you desire to create?
We would love to hear of your experiences in the comments section below.
