Shadow
Today, we are invited into a conversation around our shadow self. So often, this is catagorized as negative in some way. However, those less than flattering aspects of personality or self are just more of us to love. They are a part of us. If we resist them, that truth remains - they are a part of us. And, by exploring those parts of shadow, we are led to greater wholeness. Indeed, we are here to participate in the evolution of consciousness, which includes the integration of polarity of which shadow is a fundamental part.
Our shadow makes us aware of how we judge - everyone else - and ourselves. Those parts that we reject in others are also what we are rejecting in ourselves. When we are more compassionate with ourselves, we find that we can actually engage with aspects of our shadow and learn from them. When we love ourselves no matter what, we heal and that healing brings deep wisdom.
With the full moon energies that we are still in and the retrogrades of so many planets, our shadow is more available to us than it normally would be. What are you noticing in your life?
When we are triggered, this is part of our shadow. Are you finding that you are triggered in the waxing and waning energies this holiday season? Are you experiencing the waves of the collective?
Take the time to connect within and breathe. When you are in a place of ease with your breath, ask for your shadow to reveal to you what you need to know. This may come forward from your inner child or with the help of your guides or angels. What limitations are you imposing on yourself? Have you been creating obstacles for yourself? Why? What are you trying to protect yourself from?
Have you been embracing a new way of being in the world? Is all of you on board with this? If not, what part of you is ready to be integrated?
Shadow is nothing to be fearful of; rather, it is to be embraced and shown compassion. When we do so, we learn so much more. What does this exploration reveal to you?
